Based on the popular concert series from Lincoln Center with curriculum designed for elementary - middle school students and beyond. Explores core concepts and major figures in jazz, and use accessible, multi-media, interactive components to enliven its rich cultural heritage. The form’s definitive musical elements are taught, as well as its relationship to current culture and music. Students’ ears tend to perk up when they learn about the connections between their favorite songs and the jazz form.
