Matt Balos is a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, drums, percussion, and more.  He received his undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies from Wayne State University, and is currently enrolled in the Master’s degree program at WSU. He plays with a wide variety of groups, in and outside of Wayne State, and has performed with Shannon Powell, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ryan Devlin, and many other great talents.  In addition to his work with Music Hall, Matt teaches private lessons and accompanies high schoolers for Solo and Ensemble.  When he is not gigging, he enjoys fine dining, golf, books, films, and the company of his three cats, Gomez, Wednesday, and Morticia.
