At 1701 seats, Music Hall is intimate, with excellent acoustics and nearly perfect sight lines. No seat is more than 70 feet from the stage. With its art deco facade and Spanish Renaissance interior, which features Mankato stone columns, elaborate wrought iron, skinny brass, exquisite paneling, and sculpted Greek masks by Italian sculptor Corrado Parducci, The Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts provides theatre-goers a magnificent experience.
A home for our country's legends, Music Hall has been proud to bring headliners such as Aretha Franklin, Harry Connick, Jr., Aaron Neville, and Dionne Warwick to downtown Detroit. Additionally, Music Hall has always played an active role in developing and fostering jazz, both through hosting the International Jazz Festival for 10 years and bringing jazz icons such as Wynton Marsalis, Billie Holiday, and Ray Charles to our stage.
